Lilyemma Whalley

Lilyemma Whalley is a PhD student in the School of the Arts at Queen Mary University of London researching children’s literature of the long nineteenth century. Her thesis examines how children’s literature during this period cultivates a societal kindness towards the natural world by presenting it as a form of home. She has also worked at Queen Mary Students’ Union across departments, including her current role as the PGR Communications Assistant.
