Kate Newby is Principal Lecturer in Learning and Teaching (International Nursing) at the University of Sunderland.
Her work focuses on student success, inclusion and belonging, with particular interests in student retention, transitions, academic support and the use of data to identify and address barriers to success. She is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and an active researcher in inclusive education, with a particular interest in translating evidence and student voice into meaningful changes in higher education practice.
