James Howard
James Howard is the Director of The Academy at the University of Liverpool. The Academy provides an integrated development service focused on people and practice, with teams dedicated to supporting the institution’s strategic objectives for research, education, leadership, equality and engagement and postgraduate researchers. In addition to leading the work of The Academy, James provides strategic leadership for the UKRI-funded Prosper Project, an ambitious initiative that seeks to unlock the career potential of the postdoc community. Prior to establishing The Academy in 2017, James was the Head of Organisational and Educational Development at Lancaster University.
