Hugh Simpson was appointed Chief Executive and Registrar of the Architects Registration Board in December 2020. He has 20 years of regulatory experience and held senior roles at the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the General Medical Council (GMC). During his time at GPhC he led major reforms to pharmacy education and training and had operational responsibility for the accreditation and quality assurance of Schools of Pharmacy in Great Britain.
