David Richardson is the vice chancellor of the University of East Anglia (UEA), He’s a professor of microbial biochemistry and a punk rock fan. Originally from Whitley Bay, near Newcastle, he’s also a keen football fan (and diplomat), so divides his loyalty between the Canaries and the Magpies.
