Darren de Souza

Darren de Souza is senior policy and projects office at London Higher. Darren leads on the policy areas of research, civic and international/soft power. With a particular focus on showcasing the impact of London HE locally, nationally and globally through this cross-cutting portfolio, he also leads on high-profile projects such as the London Higher Civic Map and the Global Majority Mentoring Programme.

Alongside the rest of the policy team, he works across the organisation and with member institutions to influence policymakers and make the case for London HE through London Higher’s Networks, written policy briefings, and external engagements.

Darren previously worked in higher education/research policy and communications in Brussels; he holds a first-class degree in History & Portuguese from the University of Leeds.
