The Widening Participation team is based in Recruitment and Admissions and is engaged in a wide range of initiatives to raise the aspirations of groups of pupils under-represented in Higher Education. This includes campus visits, mentoring, summer schools and curriculum enrichment, as well as supporting target students into and through the University.

You will support the delivery of the GM Higher Collaborative programme, working with partner institutions to ensure the programme is successfully promoted and delivered. You will train and supervise student ambassadors on events and ensure all paperwork is completed before and after events.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and confident, and have experience of working with school pupils. You will have good IT skills and be able to take responsibility for events ensuring they are delivered to a high standard. You will be a good communicator and be able to work with people at all levels. You will also be able to manage your time and balance a busy and varied workload to ensure tasks are completed on time and in line with expectations.

This role is fixed term for 12 months while the substantive post-holder is seconded to another role.
