The role is advertised at both Grade 6 and 7 as we are open to applications from a wide field of candidates, including those who may not have direct experience but have the right attitude and potential to develop in the role. If the successful candidate is appointed at Grade 6 the role and expectations will be tailored accordingly and the salary is:

Grade 6 – £27,511 – £30,046

If the successful candidate is appointed at Grade 7 the salary is:

Grade 7 – £30,946 – £33,797

About You

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual, committed to Higher Education and delivering exceptional and well-rounded strategic support. You will enjoy working in a fast-moving, policy influenced environment and have, or be committed to developing, a track record of delivering successful outcomes on an organisation-wide scale. You will be confident in using data and policy analysis and insights to contribute to evidence-based decision making.

To be successful, you will be able to use your own initiative as well as enjoy working as part of a team. In addition, you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with colleagues across the University on a number of high-profile projects.

 

About the Role

Through support for the Directorate, you will play a critical role in the delivery of the University’s strategic priorities.

In this role, you will proactively support the Directorate by scanning the external environment to identify emerging policy developments, undertake a detailed analysis of data and reports to effectively brief the Directorate on matters of strategic importance and translate policy into practice, supporting the continued success of the University.
