Strategic Communications Manager

Expires

24th February 2020

At this exciting time in our evolution we are seeking an ambitious person to become the charity’s Strategic Communications Manager. Working directly with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, this role will be at the very centre of the charity’s strategic delivery, engaging with senior colleagues in all areas of the charity’s work to plan and produce key communications materials that will ensure the charity meets its strategic goals.

This will include crafting compelling materials that communicate the charity’s key proposition, preparing proposals for funding and new partnerships, and planning events to engage current and prospective partners. You will have excellent research skills that will enable you to build a powerful case for the charity’s work both nationally and in particular regions and locations.  You will also be tuned in to current developments in education policy so that the charity can contribute effectively to public debate.

You will have an ear and eye for the stories and images that capture the need for the charity’s work and the difference it makes to people’s lives. You will also be creative and imaginative in finding new opportunities to reach key audiences with the charity’s messages, and you will be skilled in writing credible copy to the highest quality, and in planning and producing printed and on-line materials.

We are open to applicants from a range of backgrounds. You may already be in a communications, marketing, research or policy role; or you may have a background in fundraising and be looking to develop your career.  Whatever your background, you will bring a strong commitment to social justice and to IntoUniversity’s mission.
