Here at Coventry University, we are seeking an experienced Policy Advisor to fulfil an important senior role within our Policy Unit.
As our Senior Policy Advisor you will focus on the long-term strategy of engaging, influencing and informing relevant politicians, policy makers and enabling organisations in Westminster. You will support the achievement of key performance metrics and the successful delivery of the Corporate Plan by informing the University Group Leadership of key policy drivers and their implications for University practice.
This post requires a first-class understanding of the UK legislative process, excellent interpersonal skills and experience of building relationships with government decision makers. You will also have the ability to understand the strategic context and any political sensitivities of the work. A strong interest in promoting the aims of higher education will be advantageous.
The postholder can either be based in London, with regular travel to Coventry or based in Coventry with significant time spent in London.
Grade: 9 (plus the potential London weighting)
£50,141 – £62,558 per annum
