The British Academy – the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking a Senior Policy Adviser (Public) to provide expertise and strategic input into the framing and development of the public policy work programme. Sitting within a recently created Policy and Engagement Directorate this is an exciting time to be joining the team as you will be able to help shape the way the British Academy conducts its policy and engagement activities in future.

The post holder will take a lead role in the development, design and delivery of specific public policy projects.  This will include producing high quality policy outputs, organising events, undertaking analysis and background research as necessary and identifying and pursuing opportunities for engagement with external organisations and stakeholders.

The successful candidates will have significant experience of developing and delivering policy projects; be creative and strategic thinkers and have excellent written and oral communications skills. They will have a demonstrable understanding of the public policy landscape of UK.

Salary: £37,500 per annum
