The role  

This is an exciting opportunity to join Academic Services as it enters a new phase of its organizational structure.

As the Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will play a key role in leading and delivering the Academic Services communications strategy to inform and engage stakeholders both within Academic Services and across the university.

Working closely with the Academic Services Senior Team and the University Leadership and Change Communications team, you will advise on and develop communication plans for ongoing strategic change initiatives ensuring that these motivate, inspire, inform and engage colleagues. You will also lead the day-to-day running and delivery of Internal Communications and Engagement within Academic Services.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate significant communications and engagement expertise, has a strong record of achievement and who can balance the needs of their stakeholders alongside organisational need and priority. Working on several projects and responsibilities at any one time, you will need a flexible and creative approach to problem solving, particularly where there are time pressures.

 

Skills and experience

Do you have experience of designing and implementing effective communications plans in large organisations?

Do you have knowledge of how different communication approaches impact on the delivery of objectives, and when and how to use different methods to their best effect?

Do you have a customer focused approach to work?

Can you deliver to agreed timescales and briefs, working both as part of a team and on your own initiative?
