The School of History and Heritage is based in the College of Arts, located at the University’s main Brayford campus with a view dominated by the magnificent Cathedral. Staff in the school currently work in history, conservation, philosophy and art history. We believe that a common investment in studying the world across time and space allows a vibrant intellectual community to thrive.

The ideal candidate will be a medievalist with research interests focused on twelfth and thirteenth century university history with a particular interest in the manuscripts of Lincoln Cathedral. They will be expected to develop research within the School to take into account scholastic manuscripts within the cathedral, building research grant applications around these. They will also be expected to forge international research links.

The post will be a 0.25 post in the University of Lincoln for three years in the first instance.
