As part of our strategic investment in the development of The International Centre for Higher Education Management (ICHEM) and to support the development of a portfolio of higher education management programmes we wish to appoint a Professor of Practice in High Education Management.

ICHEM is a major interdisciplinary research centre based in the School of Management at the University of Bath which is regularly ranked amongst the best in the UK and the worldwide.

The centre contributes theoretical advances and empirical knowledge to strengthen the innovative capacity of higher education in a global context. ICHEM brings together leading interdisciplinary researchers and a team of prestigious visiting professors to address the major issues confronting higher education.

This is a senior academic management post and will require previous experience of university management at a senior level. You must be able to command respect whilst teaching on the Doctor of Business Administration in Higher Education Management (DBA-HEM) and have credibility in dealing with senior managers in partner universities and government departments.

The role also holds the positions of Director of The DBA in Higher Education Management. As Director you will lead on the development of both the current DBA programme and of new higher education management programmes.

You will also lead on impact and engagement strategies and leverage practitioner based research specifically linked to the global and regional higher education environment.

This is a fixed-term position for a period of 3 years.
