Principal Engineer and Compliance Manager

Expires

31st July 2022

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is a small, specialist music higher education institution incorporating a concert hall and theatre. We enjoy a friendly, collaborative and supportive working culture. We think this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer to shape our building maintenance functions, taking advantage of the substantial recent investment (£6.5M) which has resulted in much new infrastructure going into our wonderful 1973 building. You will also have the opportunity to input into our capital programme which is likely to involve a minimum of a further £12M investment over the next five years.

You will be part of the dedicated and proactive Operations team who strive to provide the highest quality environment possible to support our learning and performance environment.

You will be a good communicator, innovative, forward-thinking, and willing to work as part of a team. You should have good experience in planning, maintenance, and management of engineering systems across a diverse and specialist estate, paying specific attention to safety and compliance.

We are ideally looking for someone with a degree in Engineering (or an equivalent professional qualification, or substantial relevant experience) and a broad knowledge of CAFM systems, engineering, health & safety, CDM etc. However, depending on your current skillset we would be happy to invest in you by offering further training and qualification support.
