The Policy Support Officer provides professional high-level policy support as part of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team. Working collaboratively, both within and outside the University, they will develop and implement policies and initiatives to promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. The Policy Support Officer will be a self-motivated, independent professional with a committed, proactive, and flexible approach. They will exercise diplomacy and discretion and demonstrate integrity and sensitivity in the fulfilment of their responsibilities.
The Policy Support Officer will be based in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team, working with the Diversity Manager to support the Deputy-Vice Chancellor and Provost and Associate Provost to take the equality agenda forward.
They will also work closely with Student Registry and HR to gather student and staff data, as well as with colleagues from faculties and schools.
