IWM is seeking to appoint an ambitious, organised and driven Communications Executive to manage the launch, and surrounding activities, for the year-long pilot stage of its new Institute. The IWM Institute for the Public Understanding of War and Conflict is not a traditional research institute. It will take risks, push boundaries and engage IWM audiences to increase the understanding of why we go to war and the effect that conflict has on people’s lives.

Reporting into the Assistant Director, Communications and Marketing, you will be integral to delivering the ambitious pilot phase of the project, launching in Spring 2018. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will develop creative ideas, content and approaches, and will deliver project management, communications and stakeholder relations for the pilot phase of the IWM Institute.

IWM wants to hear from you if you’re an organised communicator, ideally with experience of project management and events planning, who has passion for bringing research and people’s stories to life.

Salary: £23,000 + 20% employer pension contribution
