We are proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s most popular universities. We are committed to creating opportunity for our students, regardless of their background. We are proud of our excellent teaching quality and strong graduate outcomes. We are now seeking to appoint a new Head of PR and Stakeholder Communications to play a critical leadership role in how we communicate with the world and our partners.

The recently formed Communications, Admissions, Marketing and Student Recruitment (CAMS) department has been established to make a strategic contribution to the University and its future. The role holder will lead and implement a range of core projects, including:

  • A new student engagement strategy and the introduction of a new intranet
  •  An employer branding proposition and the creation of an engaging internal communications approach

Your key task will be to convey effectively what Nottingham Trent University does and why it matters, to the right audiences.  You will be focused primarily on communications with local, national and specialist media, with our own colleagues and with internal teams to support them to build relationships with key stakeholders.

You will have experience of reputation management operating in a competitive environment with a proven ability to use multiple communications channels to develop relationships. You will have excellent ability to lead multi-disciplinary content teams, integrating the skills and expertise of staff to develop powerful reputation and engagement campaigns with successful outcomes. Your excellent persuasion, interpersonal and networking skills will be supported by your understanding of news, political and social media trends.
