Hertfordshire Students’ Union (HSU), is a dynamic and vibrant union that is student-led. We value student officers, employees and volunteers with ideas and personality and believe that lively and active people shape our organisation. Students and staff are a priority to us.

We run and offer a variety of services to over 24,000 students at the University such as societies, campaigning, representation and we also have a busy Advice and Support Centre and nightclub – The Forum.

We are currently recruiting for a General Manager who will take on the responsibility for the leadership of all staff and will work closely with the elected officer team. The successful candidate will join HSU at an important and challenging time and will shape our future and drive organisational change.

We are looking for an outstanding professional with a proven track record of leading at a senior manager or a CEO level either within a students’ union or from the charity sector with similar values. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with stakeholder management expertise, experience operating at board level, financial acumen and knowledge of good governance.
