As one of the University’s largest Schools, the School of Education has a central role in advancing the research and teaching standing of the University. The School is an international leader in education with a history of top rated research and in the 2019 QS World Rankings, it was ranked joint 36th in the World and joint 9th in Europe.

It is an exciting time to join the School as it continues to build on its strong strategic partnerships internationally, nationally and within the West Midlands region which includes agreements with over 160 schools to support initial teacher training.

The role holder will work with academic colleagues to ensure consistent relations and develop strategic channels of communication to develop effective relationships with partners and provide the best placement experience for our students. The role will also be key to supporting the expansion of partnerships with senior education leaders in the region.

This role will support transnational education partnership activity within the school, providing advice and support to senior officers and academics involved in servicing and establishing external/overseas partnerships, collaborative agreements and supporting international recruitment activities with international HE institutions. The appointee will manage the School’s UK based collaborative agreements, ensuring that those agreements are serviced and renewed promptly.

The role holder will be required to promote effective external partnerships with the school’s Education Leadership Academy, an exciting new venture for the School that aims to provide high quality leadership development for current and future education leaders.

The appointee should be educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience, be highly motivated and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A high level of professional judgement, diplomacy and cultural awareness are essential.
