 This exciting new position in the Faculty plays a key role in raising the profile of the Open University Business School and Law School by developing and implementing a public engagement programme that delivers a measurable targeted increase in research reputation.  Focusing on our distinctive Centres of Excellence, in personal financial capability, voluntary sector leadership, policing research and learning, pro bono law, and with further Centres in development, the External Impact Manager will promote the impact of these Centres through a mix of public engagement activity, thought leadership content and other initiatives.

The role holder will work closely with academic experts, including the Heads of Business and Law Schools, Associate Deans, the Executive Dean, and Heads of Department; as well as collaborating internally with other professional service units. The post holder will enjoy a prominent external profile and will proactively seek new contacts and networks through which to promote the Schools’ work. You will be responsible for developing relationships across the wider University and external engagement networks in your day-to-day role. Your work will play a key role in the retention of triple accreditation through the public engagement programme along with working to maintain AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditation is central to the work of External Engagement.
