Employability & Skills Co-ordinator (HEAR)

Expires

18th November 2018

This is an exciting time to be joining the Careers Service team at Goldsmiths, University of London.  Major investment to expand the team in 2017 meant 11 new staff joining the team.  The expansion covered several teams:  Employer Engagement, Placements, Student Enterprise and Skills, as the College seeks to increase the range of opportunities available for its students to gain relevant skills and experience during their time at Goldsmiths and understand how to articulate them effectively to employers.

The opportunity to expand the HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) rests on inspiring greater numbers of students to participate in co-curricular activities and develop their transferable skills, gaining buy-in with academic staff, making effective use of the data to demonstrate impact and promoting the unique approach to HEAR at Goldsmiths to external stakeholders.

The post of Employability & Skills Co-ordinator (HEAR) is now being advertised.  This is a great opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for enhancing student employability and engaging students to maximise their co-curricular opportunities. Based within the Careers Service, which is part of the Student Experience Directorate, this role makes a key contribution to our work in supporting student employability, particularly in providing students with a structured framework to record their employability experiences. The successful applicant will hold a relevant degree and relevant recent experience. Excellent communication, training, relationship building and organisational skills are all essential, as is the ability to work independently, operate and enhance systems and procedures, and have a customer focus.

This post operates on a full time basis, within the hours of Monday – Friday 9.30 – 5.30pm.  Occasional evening / weekend working may be required.
