It is in this context the University is now seeking to appoint a new role; Director of Teaching Excellence and Enhancement. The Director will provide strategic leadership across a number of crucial educational functions, including innovative programme development, academic development, education enhancement, technology enhanced learning and policy, academic skills, quality and standards and student partnership.

Working across the University as a member of the Education Leadership Team, they will foster and drive innovation across our education portfolio and lead the delivery of key aspects of our Education Strategy. The postholder will be responsible for the University’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) submission. They will support review and diversification of the institutional portfolio including the development of online and lifelong learning programmes whilst supporting an excellent student experience.

We are seeking a Director with strong strategic leadership experience in education and the ability to deliver innovative programmes, translating the strategies into real impact to ensure all of our learners have the conditions in which they can thrive. They will be highly connected nationally and internationally, and will work in partnership with our students to co-curate our approaches to teaching, learning and the student experience, building on our long-standing approach to students as change agents.
