Director of Service Delivery (Digital and Technology Services)

Expires

9th December 2022

An opportunity has arisen for a senior strategic digital leader to join us for a temporary period as our Director of Service Delivery.

This is a critical time to be joining us as the Digital & Technology Services (DTS) Team define and deliver an ambitious transformation programme to provide students, academics and staff with an exemplary and collaborative user experience. Reporting to the CDO and as a member of our DTS Senior Management Team, you will help us drive the development and implementation of the University of Nottingham’s digital and technology strategy.

You will champion operational excellence and support multiple programmes of work to continue to transform the Service Delivery function. Leading a team of 100+ across five UK campuses, you will work collaboratively with our digital partner to provide exemplary digital and technology services to our staff, students and researchers.

You will bring an in-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and experience of IT service management disciplines. Whilst experience of Higher Education would be an advantage, experience of leading transformational change programmes in a complex global organisation and a commitment to nurture a high performance culture is essential.

You will have a successful track record of technology strategy development, delivery and execution and experience of working with external suppliers managing large contracts and out-tasking arrangements. We are particularly looking for someone who can coach and develop staff to create a high performance operations environment.

We are looking for someone who is committed to the University’s values of Inclusivity, Ambition, Openness, Fairness and Respect, and who supports our vision to be a university without borders, where we embrace the opportunities presented to us by a changing world, and where ambitious people and a creative culture will enable us to change the world for the better.

The role is offered on a full-time basis for 18 months, with the possibility of extension.
