The University of Winchester is seeking an outstanding candidate to lead their newly merged Library and IT Services department. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the new department and its vision for the future.
The Director of Library and IT Services will bring the existing teams together and build a new integrated department that meets the needs of students, staff and other relevant stakeholders. They will provide strategic leadership, creating and leading the implementation of a plan to integrate the departments and build a structure and culture that will enable greater collaboration, while also ensuring professional areas of specialism are maintained and celebrated.
The Director will be an expert in Library and/or IT with significant experience in senior management, preferably within Higher Education. The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and to form strong working relationships within and outside the institution is essential. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate a commitment to customer service and enhancing the student and staff experience, and an innovative approach to the delivery of Library and IT Services.
