The Autism Centre of Excellence is being set up by the Autism Research Trust to bring together world-leading research with practical support and interventions for autistic people across the lifespan.   Located in Cambridge, it will make a unique contribution to the field, bringing together multi-disciplinary clinical teams and researchers.  The Centre will come into being over the coming five years, with a £35mn business and fundraising plan already underway.

A Director of Finance and Operations is sought to join as one of the first employees of the centre. The appointee will lead on all aspects of financial strategy and management through the full life cycle of the project from build to launch. They will assume responsibility for liaison and negotiation with key external partners, project planning and delivery, financial management, overseeing a significant capital development with complex stakeholder needs, and employment strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in finance, management and operations, ideally in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders. They will have a professional finance qualification and be able to balance strategic thinking with a keen attention to detail. Experience of managing capital investments will be key, as will demonstrating a strong commitment to the purpose, values, and vision of the Autism Centre of Excellence.
