The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) will be a key senior leadership role. The post holder will report directly to the Vice-Chancellor and will deputise for the Vice-Chancellor by agreement. This role is available following the retirement of a Deputy Vice-Chancellor and the role has been adjusted to take account of the new environment in higher education.

The key focus of the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) is to support student success as part of the Wolverhampton approach to the student life cycle.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) will lead on strategic policy development in conjunction with the appropriate Directors and Deans. The University of Wolverhampton have recently restructured to introduce a University Registrar, a role that has line management responsibilities for most of Professional Services. The intention of this was to ensure that the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellors focus on strategy and implementation planning and review. The post holder therefore requires significant influencing leadership skills and a vision consistent with that of the University of Opportunity.
