The Deputy Operations Manager (DOM) will act as Deputy to the School’s Operations Manager and in this regard will undertake strategic and operational projects that span the breadth of the School’s professional services team and the School’s academic departments. The DOM will have devolved responsibility for the management and leadership of School-wide professional services teams and in the absence of the Operations Manager will be required to ensure that the teams provide appropriate services to a broad range of stakeholders.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that knowledge is transferred from the existing Learning & Teaching Manager (ESM) to provide continuous delivery of School Strategy in respect of Learning & Teaching during the secondment period. The DOM will be a member of the School’s Leadership and Teaching Group (which is comprised of the Learning & Teaching Manager and Deputy Learning & Teaching Manager) and at times will deputise for the OM at the School’s Senior Management Team and at College-level Committees.
The post holder will work independently, whilst consulting with senior academic staff and Operations Manager over developments and implementation of procedures to support changes and growth of student numbers. The post holder will participate in cross College initiatives to share best practice and work with colleagues to develop and implement consistent processes and procedures.
