As a member of Birkbeck’s External Relations team, your work will help to recruit over 10,000 students a year to the College and maintain our reputation as a leading teaching and research higher education institution.

You will use your communications experience and expertise to help position Birkbeck as the UK’s only evening university and a part of the prestigious university of London, and to tell our unique story to internal and external audiences as we approach our 200th anniversary.

You will use your skills to straddle both the strategic planning of communications and the development of content for a full range of channels including print, video and audio.

We’re seeking a talented communications expert with communications management experience to join our External Relations team.

With a proven track record in delivering effective and successful communications campaigns, you’ll help tell Birkbeck’s unique story to internal and external audiences as we approach our 200th anniversary.

You will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of our communications, content and media strategies, using the full range of communications channels with a particular focus on media relations.

You will also lead on the publication of our regular digital staff magazines and our annual print magazine for alumni.

Your work will help to Birkbeck to recruit over 10000 students per year and maintain its reputation as a leading teaching and research higher education institution.

 

Remuneration:

Grade 7 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £38,594 rising to £44,113 per annum.

The salary quoted is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
