The Students’ Guild at the University of Exeter is the students’ union, led by students for students. We represent over 25,000 students and enhance their unique journeys at the University of Exeter by:

  • Developing leaders who transform the student experience
  • Supporting and creating opportunities for students to lead activities to benefit others
  • Ensuring the student’s voice is strong and impactful
  • Delivering focused and relevant services

We are a democratic membership organisation, and all students at the University of Exeter are automatically members of the Guild. The Students’ Guild sits at the heart of the student experience which encompasses representation, support services, student activities and volunteering. Our charitable purpose is the advancement of the education of students at the University of Exeter for the public benefit.

This is an exciting time to join the University of Exeter Students’ Guild as we launch a new strategy and refocus on how we represent our student members. We’re looking for an innovative and bold campaigns and insights expert to lead on insight-led Students’ Union campaigns and to empower student activists and Officers to deliver real change on campus.

We want to become more impact-focused and improve how we represent students through campaigning. Therefore, by using research and insights we can develop more meaningful, engaging and relevant projects and campaigns to support our students and make them have the best student experience possible at Exeter. This includes a better reporting function to show students how we are representing them and the changes that have been made, showing their input makes a real difference.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Guild as a Campaigns and Insight Manager.

Salary: £27,047 (Grade M3)
Hours: 36.5 per week
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Location: Streatham Campus, Exeter, Devon

This area of work will be at the very heart of everything we do, we are aiming to become a more insights-driven organisation to help us reach our new vision. It’s also a brand-new role so there are opportunities to shape and develop the role and scope. We are aiming for it to become a transformational backbone to our work.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about fighting for student rights and issues, empowering students and staff, experience in using insight-led approaches to inform and support planning and delivering campaigns and projects.

Overall, the role will have the responsibility for embedding a campaign and insight-led culture across the Guild. All we need now is a talented Campaigns & Insights Manager to join our team and lead on making our vision a reality.
