The Role

Kingston School of Art (KSA) formed its origins in the late nineteenth century until 1970, when it merged with what was then Kingston Polytechnic, KSA established an exceptional reputation and it has become one of the UK’s leading art and design educational institutions. KSA has a well-established and internationally renowned research culture that encourages and supports high quality, innovative research through practice, history and theory.  As an Art School within a university which embraces the areas of health, business, engineering and the humanities and social sciences, it also combines the benefits of having its own art and design-focused identity enabling it to be at the forefront of exciting cross-disciplinary developments.

KSA is now looking to appoint an Associate Dean, Research, Business and Innovation. The post-holder will be accountable for the overall leadership, management, development and co-ordination of Research and Innovation in the Faculty, including postgraduate research, providing advice on research matters. The incoming post-holder will also ensure that Research and Innovation inputs to academic activity and contributes to the student experience.
