Role overview
The highly successful Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare practice at KPMG is looking to accelerate its recent growth. The team which is based in both London and Bristol is looking to focus its growth in supporting the developments across local government, health and education. The team are looking to recruit individuals who have a good understanding of the issues facing public bodies and delivering change based upon experience of working in the sector or as a consultant.

The role will focus on working with a wide range of organisations including Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, Universities and with the private and third sector. Individuals will be required to assist clients to make informed decisions for their locality based on sound analysis and good governance and in line with government policy. We are looking for particular knowledge across workforce transformation, skills, devolution and delivering system changes across public bodies.

Roles and responsibilities:
Undertake analysis of local government, health, education and public policy data and issues, resulting in the development of appropriate solutions
Support in the development of insightful proposals and propositions demonstrating KPMG’s market leading position.
Support in the delivery of high quality project work including as necessary guidance to junior staff.
Demonstrate an understanding of technical sector knowledge to meet the needs of clients.
Support in the preparation of reports and sections of reports that are well drafted and concise, addressing politically complex and sensitive issues.
Develop networks across KPMG’s Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare practice and externally across the public sector market.
Contribute to the delivery of powerful client presentations and workshops.

Qualifications and experience:
A postgraduate or strong undergraduate degree.
Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis, such as gathering evidence by conducting interviews, surveys, evaluation and other analysis. on behalf of clients and as part of project delivery.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate with credibility and conviction.
Some experience of contributing to complex projects with diverse inputs where rigor and accuracy are essential.
Ability to work with clients at a variety of strategic, political and operational levels.
Ideally has professional consulting experience and has successfully delivered advisory services within a public sector setting.
Some experience of either options appraisal, business case development or data analysis.
Proficient in the use of a range of IT applications.
Excellent written English skills.
Experience of team working to realise client objectives and solutions.
