The Admissions Administrator (International Office) is a fundamental post in the admission of international students to the University of Northampton. The key elements of the post are to process applications and make decisions in consultation with colleagues, to maintain records, to answer enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders and to provide standard advice and guidance on all aspects of the admissions process. This part-time post is within the International Admissions Team which forms part of the wider International Relations Office in the Marketing and International Relations Department.

About You

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and an ability to follow a clear brief in application processing and document creation. A focus on accuracy and consistency is essential, as is the ability to plan and prioritise tasks. Working effectively under pressure and a willingness to learn new processes and procedures are also key attributes in this post. We are also looking for excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Existing knowledge of university application systems and processes is desirable.

Qualifications

Essential;

5 GCSEs (to include English) at Grade C or above, or equivalent.

Desirable;

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Faculty/Department

Marketing and International Relations (MIR) is responsible for the promotion of the University and its courses in order to recruit students from the UK and overseas. We use market research to develop creative strategies that explain how we can help our students achieve their goals.

MIR is responsible for external promotion; public relations; advertising and recruitment events in addition to internal communication for staff and current students. We act as trusted advisors across the institution on all matters relating to promotion and reputation.

The International Office is responsible for the recruitment and admission of international students to the University of Northampton. Our highly experienced and diverse teamwork across several continents ensuring we recruit high quality students to undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the University. We manage regional offices in several countries and work in response to national and international developments in the international student recruitment market.
