Since 2008 it has been implementing a major Internationalisation initiative in line with its mission to become a leader in global engagement. The Strategy encompasses all aspects of provision, including student recruitment and support, curriculum delivery in the UK and overseas, mobility, joint ventures and international partnerships. Coventry is now looking to appoint a Director of their Centre for Global Engagement (CGE) to continue developing their commitment to enhancement through international engagement.

CGE is a sector leading unit that plays an essential part in the realisation of the Coventry Group International Strategy.  The Director is expected to facilitate growth in scale and scope of activities through effective management and further development of a range of policies and processes within the Group. The post is further responsible for reviewing the funding basis of mobility and enhancement activities and securing external funding wherever possible.

The Director will be an experienced Higher Education leader with a proven track record of leading a high-performing unit with revenue generating responsibility. He/she will have a strong entrepreneurial approach, be academically credible and organisationally innovative with experience of driving significant growth. The successful candidate will need to build long term relationships with staff, students and other stakeholders.
