Universities UK International (UUKi) is the international arm of Universities UK, the membership body which represents the Vice Chancellors of 134 UK universities. It is funded by Universities UK, the four national funding bodies for UK higher education, and GuildHE, with a remit to represent and support the interests of UK higher education sector internationally.

UUKi acts in the collective interests of UK universities to help them achieve their international aims. We do this by enabling the development of strong international strategies through the provision of excellent information, analysis and access to networks and experts; by influencing policy in the UK, Europe and in our priority countries to facilitate international collaboration; and by creating opportunities for the UK university sector through strategic partnerships with UK or international bodies.  UUKi’s policy team, led by the Assistant Director – Policy, is responsible for developing an ambitious programme of policy, information, international engagement and research activity. The post holder will lead a team of nine people and will form part of the Unit’s management team which has responsibility for the strategic management of UUKi, and will thus have a key role to play in the organisation.
