The Director of Development will develop the institutional strategy for the advancement, working closely with senior colleagues to embed this work into academic schools and to develop relationships with alumni and external supporters. The new Director will head a small, effective team and work across the university and relevant external networks to develop the service and achieve the university’s strategic aims.
Ideal candidates will bring several years’ experience at a senior level in an arts, cultural or Higher Education environments, and will have a solid track-record of developing networks. They will have a demonstrable history of fundraising and achieving major gifts. Candidates must be accomplished communicators and possess strong relationship-building and influencing skills. They must be self-motivated and entrepreneurial and importantly, passionate about the cultural and creative industries.
