Manchester’s Royal Northern College of Music is looking to recruit a Statutory Returns and Student Data Officer.

Working closely with the Student Services Team, the Statutory Returns and Student Data Officer role holder will have operational responsibility for the submission of all student data returns. The role holder will co-ordinate the collation, submission, and validation of data for statutory reports to HESA, OfS and other external regulatory agencies, ensuring each return complies with the College’s governance, assurance and quality review processes, benchmarking, and statutory timescales.

In collaboration with the Head of Student Services, the role holder will be expected to take a lead on relevant projects, such as the HESA Data Futures transition project, and advise department heads of requirements, offer adaptive solutions to ensure internal planning processes effectively support the new submission process, whilst continuing to meet statutory obligations.

The role requires proactive collaboration with Academic Colleagues and the Business Systems and Data teams to plan improvements to systems and to maintain the provision of high-quality student record data and the production of each data return.
