We are looking for a senior strategic leader in health and safety to join us as a new Director of Health and Safety Assurance who can lead on the development and delivery of our health and safety strategy for the University, with a strong focus on risk analysis and management to ensure that we maintain and operate a safe and compliant environment for all staff, students, and visitors.

In this critical role you will manage our relationship with University Council and the Audit Risk Committee, as well as sit on our overseas campus health and safety committees. You will have a particularly close working relationship with our estates and facilities teams to ensure that our large campus environments are managed effectively from a health and safety perspective.

Emotionally intelligent with people-centred leadership skills and commitment to equality of opportunity for all, you will lead an established health and safety function, helping the team to continue to build upon the progress made to ensure that effective and efficient procedures are in place to identify, measure and report on health and safety-related risks, driving forward a positive health and safety culture across our university community.
