Reporting to the deputy vice-chancellor, and as a member of the university’s executive, the dean of students will play a key role in the development of a high-quality provision of education to its students. Working closely with the deputy vice-chancellor, and with academic and professional staff colleagues across the institution, the dean will implement and operationalise the university’s academic and student experience strategies. Ensuring Ravensbourne’s Digital First strategy is underpinned with distinctive pedagogic content, they will have responsibility for quality and compliance across all undergraduate and pre-degree teaching provision.
Crucially, the successful candidate will have proven experience of leadership and management of excellent teaching and learning provision, leading to the delivery of an outstanding student experience. Ideally, candidates will have the knowledge and experience to implement academic standards, quality assurance and quality enhancement in higher education, whilst maintaining external networks, ensuring that they are up to date with the latest development in the delivery of teaching and learning.
