The Assessment Coordinators, as part of the Assessment Team, are responsible for the delivery of all administrative processes which support the University’s Assessment Boards, including the production of all student outcomes and relevant reports for the board and the processes and systems which support this. Working within a complex schedule prescribed by the academic year, the post holder will plan and manage their workload, in conjunction with their Team, to ensure delivery to challenging and often conflicting deadlines. The post holder will need to meet these operational deadlines, whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, effectiveness and customer focus. The post holder will also be expected to work collaboratively to support other activities and events, at critical times, that the wider department is responsible for delivering.

About you

You will be highly organised with good communication skills and will have a track record of working in a busy, deadline driven environment, with experience in the capture and analysis of complex data sets. In addition, you will have a background of working within a regulatory or compliance environment, with experience of implementing and monitoring procedures and systems. You will demonstrate a collaborative, solutions focused attitude, going above and beyond to deliver the highest quality service both as an individual and as part of a team. Meticulous attention to detail is essential, along with excellent IT and numeracy skills. A strong track record of working with large databases is essential. Previous experience of working with the SITS student record system is highly desirable.

Essential Qualifications:

5 GCSEs (to include English and Maths) at grade c or above or equivalent vocational qualification (NVQ 2 or equivalent), or equivalent experience
Demonstrates willingness to undertake further education and/or training and development
Evidence of post-16 education or training

The ACE team is responsible for the administration, planning and delivery of the University’s examinations, Award Boards, graduation ceremonies and certification production. The team works closely together to deliver to key institutional deadlines and is often extremely busy. The team is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced coordinator who delivers the highest levels of quality and accuracy in their work both as an individual and as part of a team. As part of the wider Student Administration Dept the team works collaboratively with colleagues across different areas to support events and provide the highest quality student experience. It’s an exciting time to join the University as it moves towards a semesterised teaching model and a newly developed Student Records System.
