Universities UK International (UUKi) is the international directorate of the body which represents UK university Vice Chancellors. Its purpose is to enable UK universities to flourish internationally by supporting them to develop and deliver strong international strategies; influencing policy in the UK, Europe and in priority countries; and by creating international opportunities for UK universities through its unique ability to act at sector-level.

This role is one of two Assistant Director positions in Universities UK International. The post holder will work closely with the Director, and the Assistant Director, Policy to develop UUKi’s strategy and operational objectives and to ensure that the partnerships and mobility team plays a central role in helping UUKi achieve them. Currently the partnership and mobility team is responsible for the delivery of a suite of programmes/ activities which includes: Go International (supporting growth in UK outbound student mobility); Routes into Languages (supporting the take up of modern foreign languages) HE Global (supporting growth in UK transnational education): the Student Support Service (supporting overseas government-funded scholars to take up study opportunities in the UK); and activities designed to facilitate international research collaboration (particularly through supporting university engagement in schemes such as the Newton Fund).
