Teaching Excellence Framework Project Officer

Expires

6th October 2016

The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is responsible for distributing funds for teaching and research in universities and colleges in England. Our aim is to create and sustain the conditions for a world-leading system of higher education which transforms lives, strengthens the economy, and enriches society. We work in partnership to promote and fund high-quality, cost-effective teaching and research, meeting the diverse needs of students, the economy and society.

The Government is introducing a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) which aims to recognise and reward excellent learning and teaching in higher education. Late this month, the Government is due to publish the specification for the first cycle of TEF assessments. It has also commissioned HEFCE to implement the exercise and publish the outcomes in May 2017. HEFCE has established a TEF team, jointly with the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), to manage implementation of the TEF.

We are looking to appoint committed and motivated individuals to become key members of the team that will deliver this work.
