ECU is currently seeking to recruit a Researcher.

 

General description of the post

ECU’s approach is evidence-based, using research to identify and change practices that unfairly exclude, marginalise or disadvantage staff and students. The work of the Research team is central to these aims, and the post holder will contribute significantly to consolidating the evidence base, advancing equality and raising the profile of ECU in the sector.

The post holder will develop and lead complex research projects on sensitive topics across all equality categories, including research design, data mining and analysis, visualisation, dissemination and external stakeholder engagement. They will be experienced in multiple research methodologies, ethics, reliability, validity, data protection and data management. The post holder should be able to work independently as well as with all teams across ECU on internal and externally commissioned projects. The post holder will also liaise with and develop relationships with key external stakeholders and manage subscribing HEI accounts.

The post will report to the Research Manager, and deputise for the Research Manager as needed.
