This involves actively engaging with the public policy challenges we face regionally and nationally – ensuring our curriculum and research is at the heart of providing solutions for industry, public bodies and communities.

The University of Salford is seeking a capable, self-motivated and enthusiastic professional to take responsibility for supporting the Strategic Advisor in driving forward the University’s engagement with the political, public policy, economic and governance agenda regionally and nationally.

The role holder will work with colleagues across the University to manage engagement plans and campaigns to identify and create opportunities to meet and work with politicians, principal decision makers and potential partners across the UK’s political parties and through a variety of public bodies, that meet our objectives.

They will create, utilise and be accountable for policies and processes for the collection and analysis of information to build an assessment of the national, regional & local landscape in order for the University to take a pro-active role in formulating & operationalising a public affairs and government engagement strategy.
