The School of Medicine is one of four Schools in the College of Life Sciences.  The College is developing provision in a newly formed School of Allied Health Professions which is due to launch in September 2018.

We are looking to recruit a Head of Operations to lead and direct the business operations and professional service team in the School of Medicine and newly created School of Allied Health Professions. You will be responsible for setting high standards and demonstrating exceptional professional behaviour that underpins the delivery of a first class student experience and ensuring that the interface between academic staff, our NHS partnerships and support activities is seamless. Based on an in-depth understanding of University policy and the School’s position in the wider University, HE sector, national and internal context, the role holder together with the Head of School will lead on the development and implementation of the School’s Strategic Plan.

 

The role will require you to anticipate future requirements and be alert to customer needs, balancing competing priorities within the resources available. The role demands exceptional leadership and managerial skills, and an ability to positively engage with change and change management.
