Applications are invited for the above post within the Academic Secretary’s Division of the Registrar’s Department based at our University Park Campus.

The role requires overseeing the University’s engagement with the national Teaching Excellence Framework, providing leadership for academic quality assurance activities, managing the support of Council and Senate and their committees, providing direction with regard to individual student legal cases and engagements with the Office of the Independent Adjudicator, and working with key stakeholders on data governance issues.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications and have experience of leading teams in a higher education environment involved in one or more of the above areas. The successful candidate will have outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation capabilities and an ability to work with and advise staff at all levels.  They will have experience of leading policy development and implementation, including on academic quality issues, and have knowledge of the legal framework around data governance. Candidates also need to demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills.
