The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) cultural change exercises and initiatives across our University, including Athena SWAN and Race Equality Charter awards. Driving the equality charter action plans, the post holder will collaborate efficiently and effectively with key stakeholders to ensure pace and momentum. You will also offer expert EDI and equality charters advice to Faculties and the wider University, to enable the University to improve its services to students, staff and stakeholders.

 

The Person

You will be qualified to first degree level or equivalent and will hold expert knowledge of equality legislation and its implications for higher education. You will have experience in delivering creative solutions to address inequality and will also have experience in applying for equality charter awards e.g. Athena SWAN, Race Equality Charter. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. You will be able to confidently extract, analyse and interpret data to produce reports as well as recommendations suitable for discussion at the senior management level. You will have excellent decision making and organisational abilities including an ability to manage priorities and workloads and work under pressure. As a member of our team, you will be self-motivated and have a proven track record of working independently and collaboratively.
