Engineering is one of the largest disciplines in higher education facing some of the greatest policy challenges. The industrial strategy, Brexit, employability, degree apprenticeships, teaching, research and knowledge transfer – working for the Engineering Professors’ Council, your work will cover them all.

This role is a wide and flexible opportunity for you to flex your policy and research muscles, pursuing not only the issues that matter to our many thousands of members, but also helping to shape what we do and how we do it.

You’ll be a policy wonk, with a deep understanding of the need for evidence and data research. You’ll have good communication skills and be self-reliant. There’s no need to have an engineering background.

Under a new Chief Executive, the EPC is becoming more innovative, hosting a range of new events, conducting new research and forming new networks of academic staff – not just professors, but at every level. This is a fun time to join us.
