Editorial Assistant

23rd August 2017

A new opportunity has arisen to join Team Wonkhe. We are searching for an Editorial Assistant to support every aspect of our work.

From an important role in delivering our flagship email briefings to being a central part of our editorial output on Wonkhe.com, your work will help influence and shape the HE debate from your first day in the office.

You will need to be flexible, highly motivated and willing to help us meet tight publishing deadlines for briefings and articles throughout the week. You will need excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

You should love higher education policy and wonkery in general and be excited about working in a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation. In return, you will see the immediate impact of your work, build valuable networks across UK universities and agencies and play a vital role in helping us make higher education a better-informed, more open and fun place to work for the tens of thousands of readers and subscribers who depend on our services.

The role is flexible, but you will need to be in London regularly for team meetings and Wonkhe events. Our HQ is near Chancery Lane tube station.

You will report to Mark Leach, Wonkhe’s Director in the first instance, but also actively work with all the other members of Team Wonkhe.

We offer the role on an initial twelve-month contract with an opportunity for renewal and the salary is dependent on experience.

To apply, please email Mark Leach with a CV and covering letter, explaining why you are suited to the role and don’t delay – we may close the role in advance of the deadline if we find the right candidate.

Start date: as soon as possible.
