Charged with leading on all student recruitment and widening participation activity, the Director will provide strategic leadership to a multi-disciplinary division. As a member of the Directorate for the Student Experience Senior Executive team, he/she will help shape and deliver strategic initiatives to support the University’s sector leading performance via leadership of home/EU and international recruitment (including blended and distance learning), widening participation and student recruitment related marketing. The Director will work closely with the University’s leadership team in order to drive change and ensure Manchester remains agile in the face of market forces whilst representing the institution with key external stakeholders and sector groups.

The Director of Student Recruitment and Outreach will be an experienced Higher Education leader with a proven track record of leading a large and high-performing student recruitment/international office directorate. He/she will have a strong empathy for the student experience and will have experience of leading a well-established team of experts. The successful candidate will be well-versed in broader HE change and will possess a strong commitment to continuous professional development and horizon scanning. He/she will have significant strategy experience and possess the ability to build credible and long term relationships with all University stakeholders, students and partners.
